On the Mat with Corey Jantzen

Sunday, September 29th, Beat the Streets LA hosted the second Tomorrow’s Leaders workshop of the season! Over 80 students had the privilege of learning from one of our most accomplished coaches, Corey Jantzen.

The workshop kicked off with an in-depth survey, administered to each participant to assess their social and emotional wellbeing. This valuable data allows the Beat the Streets team to gain insights and continually improve the programming we offer.

Once the survey was complete, the excitement shifted to the mat. Coach Corey Jantzen, a Harvard University wrestling alumnus and multiple-time NCAA qualifier, led the session. Students were thrilled to learn his signature moves, including mastering the crab ride technique.

Our Tomorrow’s Leaders program continues to offer unique opportunities for student-athletes to develop both on and off the mat. With 10 workshops scheduled for the 2024-25 season, the program is focused on leadership development, college readiness, and career preparation.
