COACH & MENTOR
TRAINING
Beat the Streets Los Angeles hosts an annual Coach and Mentor Training that brings together coaches from high schools, middle schools, and community programs across the city to strengthen the way we support young athletes. Our training emphasizes a mentor-first approach to coaching, helping coaches build positive coaching styles and create supportive environments where student-athletes can grow both on and off the mat.
In addition to technical wrestling instruction, sessions focus on youth development, mental health awareness, sports nutrition, communication, and building strong team cultures. To ensure our coaches have access to the best tools and knowledge, we partner with outstanding teaching organizations such as the Positive Coaching Alliance and the Center for Healing and Justice Through Sport (CHJS), alongside experienced wrestling coaches and youth development experts.
By investing in our coaches through this collaborative training experience, Beat the Streets LA strengthens the foundation of every program and helps ensure that every athlete has mentors who foster confidence, leadership, and long-term growth.
